Animated Pawn Tool

The Animated Pawn Tool was a tool created in Unreal Engine 5 that allowed capture artists to place, customize, and edit static pawns that could play looping animations and emotes. This tool is one that I am particularly proud of, as it had the ability to save and load all attributes for placed pawns and majorly cut down on recapture time that both internal and external Capture Teams had to deal with.

This tool was used in many trailers that required multiple characters doing an emote, including new Season trailers, third party trailers like Daft Punk and Sabrina Carpenter, and more! Below are examples of some trailers where that capture tool was used.

Sequencer Blends

Sequencer Blending is a technique that I spearheaded for Epic's internal Capture Team. This technique allowed us to create cinematic cameras in engine and have them smoothly transition to gameplay POV. I not only discovered the technique, but created the camera for its first use in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Teaser Trailer.

Below are some examples of videos where this technique was used, including shots that I created: such as the opening lightsaber shot in the Obi-Wan teaser and the Doom Slayer shot in the Chapter 4 trailer.
