Trailer

Descend's trailer was made ingame, using a combination of the level sequencer and recorded gameplay. After compiling the footage, a teammate and I collaborated on creating the trailer in Adobe After Effects. The process took around twenty total hours of work, including revising and polishing the trailer, as well as reshooting some scenes.

3D Main Menu

The 3D menu here was created in by me in Unreal Engine 4 for the game Descend. It was created in its own level, using a setup of models and textures provided by our artist. The particle effects, materials, and scene were created by me. I used a level sequencer to have the camera move to separate sections of the menu, containing the entire menu in this level. The game loads as a separate level when the player is ready to play.

As the Technical Artist on Descend, my tasks include:

  • Asset implementation

  • Creating particle FX using Cascade

  • Creating dynamic materials and UI using UE4 material editor
